She treats a variety of high level athletes through to the general population and is passionate about bringing elite care to everyone. Gabby is a Curtin University supervisor for Masters of Sports Physiotherapy students. She is currently supervising research on knee injuries in AFLW athletes, plus supervising and assessing students in their clinical placements. Gabby has a strong interest in working with female athletes of all ages and abilities and enjoys empowering women to get the most from their bodies. Born and bred in Perth, Gabby spends most of her free time outdoors. She is an avid swimmer and can often be found at the beach or chasing the black line!</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Casey commenced his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Western Australia in 2006, graduating with Honours in 2012. He spent his years as a junior Doctor between Royal Perth Hospital, Bunbury Regional Hospital and Midland Hospital, but pitch/field/court-side was always where he really wanted to be. Casey was accepted into registrar training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP) in 2017 and was admitted to the College as a Fellow in 2021. Casey has also completed a Master of Philosophy by research through UWA investigating the role of neuroplasticity in musculoskeletal and burn injury and continues to actively pursue research in this area. Casey completed a Diploma of Sports Medicine with the International Olympic Committee in 2017. Casey currently practices at SportsMed Subiaco and is a Team Doctor for the West Coast Eagles and Perth Wildcats.</image:caption>

Nathan is also formerly the Director of the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association. A proud Karajarri and Yawuru descendent, Nathan has an interest in increasing Sport and Exercise Medicine care to rural and remote Australia. He is the first Indigenous Sports and Exercise Medicine Doctor in ACSEP in Australia and uses his skills to help improve Indigenous and rural health outcomes. Nathan regularly has visiting clinics in Broome and when in Perth consults at Perth Sports Medicine. While he loves all things sports and exercise, he particularly likes the football codes, athletics, swimming and cricket. In 2021 Katharine was elected Vice President of the AMA (WA), the first female Vice President in 24 years and the first Doctor-in-Training to hold the position. Between 2020 and 2022 Katharine worked on WA's COVID-19 response with the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre. She studied Medicine at UWA, is a Rhodes Scholar and holds a Masters in Global Health Science from the University of Oxford. Katharine has a variety of professional interests including health policy and advocacy, having previously worked with the NHS for a public sector consulting firm in London, as Clinical Policy Lead with the AMA (WA), and in paediatrics at Perth Children’s Hospital. Phoebe is currently working full time at West Coast Health &amp; High Performance (@westcoasthealthhp), is the Head Physio for Subiaco Lions WAFL (@subiacolionsfc), Western Roar WANL (@westernroar) and Wesley College Rugby Program. As a member of the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia Network, she’s looking forward to tour internationally soon.       <image:caption>David is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Advanced Sports Dietitian. David has a strong involvement in the endurance sport scene, with a personal best marathon time of 2 hours 48 minutes (SIX times under 3 hours), a Half Ironman Triathlon personal best time of 4 hours 16 minutes and came 5th overall at the Western Australia Sprint Triathlon Championships in 2015. David completed his first Ironman in Busselton in 2016 in 9 hours 19 minutes on debut. David attributes these achievements to applying his nutrition and fitness knowledge to his everyday lifestyle. In 2019, David was categorised in ParaTriathlon in PTS5, as he was born with a clubfoot. After winning the Devonport ITU Paratriathlon World Cup in March 2019, he was then placed on the ParaTriathlon Australian and WAIS team in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. Fast track to 2021, David competed at the Tokyo Paralympics, placing 7th in the PTS5 category, a truly memorable experience being part of the Paralympic team and competing on the world stage. David has completed a Nutrition traineeship at The Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) working with world class athletes to further improve his Dietetic Skills. David is a Level 1 Triathlon Coach and has been a Personal Trainer for over 12 years. These passions, his in-depth knowledge and lifestyle experiences assist his clients in achieving their goals, be it sporting, weight loss or specific dietary requirements. He has a particular interest in surgery for athletes and helps manage the injuries of players from several professional sporting clubs. After completing his surgical training in WA, Peter worked in London and Vancouver alongside some of the world’s premier sports surgeons and teams, and now runs the Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship for incoming international surgeons based at Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group. He consults privately at Coastal Orthopaedics, has academic positions at UWA and Curtin and is a Director of the Orthopaedic Research Foundation of Western Australia. Current research projects include two RCTs: assessing single vs dual hamstring tendon ACL reconstruction and rehabilitation after hamstring repair, along with the development of an evidence-based return to sport protocol after shoulder instability surgery. Ellen chose to pursue a career in Physiotherapy, drawing on her experiences as a dancer with a vision to help other dancers with rehabilitation, injury reduction strategies, classical technique, and overall improved wellbeing. In addition to being the owner and principal Physio at Perth Dance Physiotherapy, Ellen is also working as part of the Physiotherapy &amp; Wellbeing team for the West Australian Ballet Company. She has also worked alongside WA’s flagship contemporary dance company, Co3, and Black Swan Theatre Company on a multitude of shows over the last seven years.       <image:caption>Dr Sophie Wallace is an Emergency Consultant at Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia’s major trauma centre.  She also works for the Emergency Telehealth Service for WA Country Health, providing remote emergency support across the whole of WA, and frequently works up in Karratha in the Pilbara. She is heavily involved in emergency fellowship teaching and is on the exam writing and standard setting panel with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM).   Sophie has also been working in high altitude and expedition medicine since 2009, has been on several expeditions above 5000m altitude including three seasons working as the doctor on Mt Everest.  She has been hiking and climbing since she could walk, having grown up in the UK spending most of her holidays in the Scottish highlands, and has climbed 3 of the 7 summits, the first at the age of 19.   Sophie lives in Perth with her medical partner and two furry idiots, and is currently renovating an old 1930s cottage in her spare time.  Days off involve the beach, the river (cycling round or paddling in), good food and travelling to WA’s amazing destinations.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Brett is the practice principal at Cottesloe Sports Physiotherapy, having opened the doors of his business on Stirling Highway in 2004. Prior to this he worked at Fremantle Physiotherapy Centre and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.  He is well known for his work with elite sporting teams, having worked with the Australian Swimming Team since 2006. He was appointed as one of the Physiotherapists to the Australian Olympic Swimming team in Beijing (2008)  and Rio (2016), and worked as the team Physiotherapist for the Australian Olympic Kayak Team in London (2012).  Brett has a strong interest in treating the Sporting Shoulder and has regularly lectured on this topic. He is also a Curtin University School of Allied Health Associate, where he supervises and examines Masters of Sports Physiotherapy students. He has also had a long association with Surf Life Saving, following in his father’s beach sprinting footsteps. In the 90’s he won back to back National Beach Flags titles and World titles in the Beach Flags and Beach Relay. He still loves to keep fit with running, gym work and coaching at the surf club. Previously, Leesa worked as a Retrieval Doctor for RFDS from 2019-2022 while also working as an Emergency Specialist across Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital ED and Joondalup Health Campus ED. When not at work or teaching on a course you can normally find Leesa at the beach - an avid surf lifesaver, Leesa sits on the SLSWA State Board of Directors and commits a lot of time to competition, member education and providing lifesaving services at Swanbourne beach.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Andrew grew up in Western Australia and completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Western Australia in 2012. During his 4-year specialist training in Dermatology, he worked at the National Skin Centre in Singapore for 6 months and completed the remainder of his training working across the adult and paediatric tertiary hospitals in Perth. He was the winner of the Kossard Dermatopathology Award for his performance in the Australasian College of Dermatologists’ Fellowship Examinations in 2021 and was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2022 upon completion of training.  He works at two private practices: Burswood Dermatology in Vic Park and Royal Street Dermatology in Yokine, and at a public clinic at Royal Perth Hospital.  He has a particular interest in skin cancer, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. He is also committed to furthering ongoing medical teaching, clinical research, and has published in peer-reviewed medical journals such as the Australasian Journal of Dermatology. When not at work, Andrew spends time with his wife and three kids often at the beach or down by the river (with the appropriate sun apparel).</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Upon graduating Amanda discovered her passion for Sports &amp; Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. On returning from overseas (working abroad in Canada &amp; New Zealand, which only further ignited her interest for sports rehabilitation) Amanda completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University. At PROmotion she enjoys helping people back to their pre-injury function with the use of manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation. Amanda's Sports Physiotherapy experience also led her to the WACA, and currently as the Physiotherapist for the West Coast Fever Netball team &amp; WAIS Physiotherapy provider. Whilst Amanda enjoys managing all types of musculoskeletal &amp; sports injuries, her clinical interest include athletic low back pain, knee &amp; shoulder rehabilitation, concussion assessment &amp; rehabilitation and management of the female athlete. Outside of work Amanda spends her time running after her two energetic young boys with her husband, swimming, skiing, and spending time in our beautiful southwest.</image:caption>
